Saudi Aramco

With over one quarter of the global oil reserves and an average of about 7.6 million barrels per day Saudi Aramco comes as "the world's leader in crude oil reserves and production" as stated by the Petroleum Intelligence Weekly.

"We put a narrower focus on the client's business needs and fine-tune our product to a level where satisfaction becomes unquestionable"

Over 54,000 employees in KSA and around the globe have pushes training to the top of corporation's priority list. The company's massive Learning Management System (LMS) comprises over 700 courses in various areas ranging from sophisticated petrochemical sciences to soft skills and effective communication and leadership. Saudi Aramco has always set challenging criteria for the selection of its e-learning service providers, which has made it difficult even for the big players to penetrate into the company's sphere of employee training.

As part of the employee training program, the company periodically hosts some of the world's leading professionals from all walks of life to provide technical training to its employees. The management noticed that this type of instructor-based training -valuable as it was- has benefited only a limited number of employees due to time and place constraints typically associated with this type of training. In order to utilize this training to its full potential and increase its availability to a greater number of employees, the surest solution was to convert these training sessions into computer-based training.

Once the decision was made, a request for proposals was published in several local and international newspapers. 14 of the biggest e-learning players in the region rushed to submit their proposals in an industrious quest to win the credit and honor of working with such an eminent name; GNSE Group was one of them. Preliminary inspections unquestionably indicated that GNSE Group stood head and shoulders above all competitors with its proposed solution not only in terms of budget but also in terms of quality and sophistication.

Saudi Aramco expressed their surprise and admiration with the level of quality and interactivity exhibited by our demos during a showcase at the client's premises. A few days later, GNSE Group was officially informed that it has been unanimously selected to undertake the courseware development project. Saudi Aramco expressed their enthusiasm to see their subject matter transformed into e-learning courseware similar to what has been showcased.

A month later, an initial prototype was ready for the Saudi Aramco's appraisal. Surprisingly enough, the prototype was the spark that started a series of cooperation with the company. It wasn't long after the initial prototype was demonstrated that Saudi Aramco decided to contract with GNSE Group for the development of a complete package of petrochemical courseware that was not planned for development yet.
